Im off to the Royal Norfolk show this week, my shearling ram and shearling ewe have been shown once already this season (at Suffolk Show), however my lambs have not. In true Adams fashion I shall be
My ewes are back at the farm for lambing, which should start (hopefully!) in four weeks time. They all seem very content with the large bale of hay which leaves me to wonder how many lambs they are expecting. This is the first year I havent scanned my flock, however the jacob ewes that have ran with a texel tup have been scanned, with an average percentage of 250%.... I think we will need shares in Volac this year!
I have had more of my sheepskins back from Fenland so there is now a healthy selection to choose from. I also have approx 70 Jacob and Jacob fleeces for sale.
I have three ewe lambs entered into the Jacob Sheep Society Eastern Region sale at Melton Mowbray Market on 11th Sept 2010.
The flock was shorn yesterday (12th June) so I now have over 40 fleeces for sale- please drop me a line if you would like one, two or all 40!
I have five jacob fleeces for sale- I decided to take advantage of the good weather to shear the show sheep- contact me if you are interested!
The next lot of 6 sheepskins have been sent back to me from Fenland- just in time for Christmas. See 'Sheepskins/ Wool' pages for more pictures.
